REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
PROJECT
REVITALIZATION OF PEAVINE AND WARNER ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
West Coast Contractors of Nevada, Inc. (WCC) is inviting firms to submit Qualifications for the Prequalification
process to bid the Revitalization of Peavine and Warner Elementary Schools. Responses from all interested
subcontractors (Subcontractor) to Prequalification process will only be accepted utilizing this specific Request For
Qualifications (RFQ) form.
Qualification Proposals are due to the WCC office at 7785 White Fir Street, Reno, NV 89523 via hand
delivery, certified mail, fax, or e-mail no later than 5:00 p.m. PST, Monday, December 12, 2011. RFQ packets can be
e-mailed directly to WCC's Pre-Construction Coordinator, Casey Gunther, at casey@westcoastnv.com. It is the
responsibility of the subcontractor to verify receipt by WCC. Proposals received after this time will not be
considered. Subcontractors not prequalified after the review of the qualification proposals will not be
approved to furnish a bid for this project. Contractors who are not successfully prequalified during the prequalification
process, will be notified in writing on or about January 3, 2012.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The projects are Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) projects with WCC as the designated CMAR. The work,
revitalization of Peavine and Warner Elementary Schools, both located in Reno, NV includes but is not limited to:
asbestos abatement, fencing, sitework, utilities, paving, demolition, concrete, rebar, misc. metals, roofing,
insulation, sheet metal, rough carpentry, cabinets, finish carpentry, drywall, ceramic tile, acoustic ceilings, flooring,
wall covering, painting, doors/frames/hardware, glazing and storefronts, specialties, audio/visual specialties
(smartboards), toilet accessories, mechanical, fire protection, electrical, communications/IT, survey, signage, final
cleaning, etc.
EVALUATION CRITERIA:
The qualification proposal will be evaluated based upon the completeness of the application and pursuant to SB 268.
Only qualified subcontractors for each of the project scopes will be allowed to provide a cost proposal. If, in the
sole judgment of WCC, any section is absent or significantly incomplete, WCC reserves the right to reject the
submittal.
**Please Note: Only pre-qualified subcontractors will be provided bid documents for preparation of a bid proposal
for the specific scope of work.**
APPROXIMATE TIMELINE (DATES MAY BE ADJUSTED UPON NOTICE)
Qualification and Bidding schedule:
Qualification applications due by December 12, 2011
Plans available/issued to qualified subcontractors on or about February 10, 2012
Bids will be due on or about March 27, 2012.
Start of Construction will be on or about April 9, 2012.
